Marie Selby Botantical Gardens
Set among laurel and banyan trees and overlooking Sarasota Bay, this is the former home wealthy Sarasota residents William and Marie Selby.
Designed by Marie herself during the early 1920's, the 14 acre gardens are today a respected center for research and education with more than 20,000 tropical plants and a collection of 6,000 orchids.
