St Armands Circle

St Armands Circle, John Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota FL 34236

Post Card From Sarasota 2

Another of John Ringling’s creations, St Armand's Circle is a dining and shopping complex on St. Armands Key. He bought the
island in 1917 and created plans for a housing development centered round a circular shopping mall with gardens and classical statues.
Despite the development being caught in the Depression, it flourished in the 1950s and today looks much like the Ringling vision with
shady avenues which radiate from a central point.

There is plenty of parking for shopping with 140 shops and restaurants to visit or simply wondering around eating a delicious ice-cream.
And it is just a block away from the beautiful Lido beach.
