Dunedin Causeway

Dunedin was founded in 1870 by a Scotsman named John L Branch, when he opened a store to supply ships sailing along
the Gulf coast to Key West.

Today there is a Historical Museum which occupies the former railroad station - it houses a fine collection of photographs
and artifacts from days gone by.

Close to Railroad Avenue there is part of the Pinellas Trail, a paved walking and cycling route which runs along the old rail
route for 47 miles from Tarpon Springs to St Petersburg.

Dunedin is home to several beaches - Dunedin Causeway, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island State Park with its
crystal-clear water and powdery white sand is one of Florida's most-visited state parks.
