Disney opened Discovery Cove to create a more intimate Sea World Experience. Limited to just 1,000 visitors a day - booking in advance is an must - allows a opportunity to swim and play with dolphins, watch aquatics shows, snorkel over reefs
Admission is not cheap but it is all inclusive - breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks, snorkel equipment, wetsuits and animal friendly sunscreen. There is an option to be a non-swimmer and just observe and take photos whilst the rest of your group take a swim with the dolphins. You also have unlimited access to The Grand Reef, Freshwater Oasis, Wind-Away River, Explorer's Aviary and Serenity Bay for the day.
Please note - children under 6 are unable to swim with the dolphins but must still purchase a non swimmer ticket and swimmers between 6 and 12 years must be accompanied by a full paying swimming adult.
There are various combinations of tickets that you can buy - although some seem quite expensive, they allow 14 days access to SeaWorld, Aquatica, and Busch Gardens as well as one day at Discovery Cove.
